An AUSTRALIAN ARCHITECTS DECLARE A CLIMATE & BIODIVERSITY EMERGENCY event presented by Paul Stoller

Does the phrase ‘evidence-based design for passive performance using a parametric analysis process’ sound like a compelling way to spend an hour over lunch?

No! Then say it again but this time with a slow deep low voice and imagine a backing track like the intro to Barry White’s ‘Can't Get Enough Of Your Love Baby’.

Still no! Then say it again but this time invoking Noni Hazlehurst during Play School storytime.

However you say it, don’t miss Paul Stoller describing a parametric analysis process that generates evidence to guide the passive design performance of building facades.  Paul will be:

  • Defining outcomes, setting metrics and setting performance targets for good passive design for air quality, thermal comfort, daylight, energy use, and peak heating and cooling loads.
  • Describing the analysis process and discussing the way Atelier Ten uses a parallel coordinates tool to find useful evidence within the data.
  • Demonstrate how this process has informed the design of a series of projects including BVN's Kambri Court buildings at ANU.
